Government Spending:
Federal, state and local governments are already bloated with unsustainable payrolls and future pension commitments. The Economic Stimulus Bill passed by the current administration continued the expansion of this "Bubble" of excess.
Democratic Socialism will not take hold in this country, as it has as a populist movement, in others. Obama will fail politically if he loses the "Center."
Legalizing most Drugs and focusing on abuse prevention and treatment will solve far more problems than it causes.
We need a reversal from the trend of increased regulation in most concerns.
I am all for Government stimulus that is directed at developing private Business and private jobs. Public works with private contracts, tax cuts, loan programs, etc. which are directed at business development are a good idea in these times of economic stress. Stimulus that develops or perpetuates government jobs that will need future sustenance in the form of tax payments from a shrinking private business base are folly.
