What I mean by Independent Politics

Well, first off, if I do indeed profess to be have "Independent Views," then it follows that I don't align with any particular political parties standard platform. Many of my views and subsequent blogging and eventual voting behavior do match up to this party or that on specific issues, but to be honest, these are never influenced by a political party or its platform. I pick and choose based on my own understanding and view. It would be my opinion that all voters should remain independent for general elections. Political partisanship belongs only in internal party structure, not in decisions for and by the people.

I develop my views and opinions by diligently reviewing literally hundreds of different news sources. I try to gather perspectives from as many sources and geographically diverse sources as possible. I try to give each source equal weight, although with a healthy dose of informed skepticism in most cases. My opinions will not always be right, but they will be developed Independently and not aligned to achieve a separate or sub verse ulterior goal. The internet and New Media gives each person far greater access to find true facts, less filtered. Independent thinking and voting is the panacea for the Political Mire that has taken hold of United States Politics.

I look forward to blogging on the issues of today and assure a fresh look and an independent approach.
