Simple Truth: Now is the Time to Cut Govt. Spending

U.S. Public sector Jobs are not the correct jobs for us to try to preserve. They are not sacred, they are infact a big part of our economies problem. Federal, State and Local Government funded jobs and their associated entitlements are a hinderance, not a help to the sustainability of the economy. It is possible that some small argument could have been made, and was made, that the 800 Billion Dollar stimulus package helped maintain many of those jobs as an emergency measure to prop up state and local economies and local spending. However, this was only putting off and exacerbating the problem in all but a rapid and robust recovery, that has not and will not occur. Government and Government funded jobs need to shrink in any future scenario. Purely political pandering arguments that the economy somehow needs to further sustain these jobs now are very harmful and deceitful. Now is the time for deep cuts. Now is the time to reset the stage for sustainable future growth of first the private sector, and then the public sector may follow, only as sustainable through future increase in tax revenue due to growth.
